1. Manager: Precinct (Post Number 8033492)
Location: Main Campus – Bellville, WC
Type of Position: Permanent – Full Time
Closing Date: 13/02/2025
Key Responsibilities:
As the Manager for Precinct, you will be responsible for managing state-of-the-art facilities dedicated to scientific disciplines, ensuring they meet global standards. Your role will include overseeing infrastructure services, electrical and HVAC maintenance, laboratory services, and managing small to medium-scale projects. You will also manage budgets, maintain service agreements, and lead a team of in-house staff, contractors, and consultants.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: B Tech degree or equivalent in Building, Mechanical, Electrical, or Quantity Surveying (NQF Level 7).
- Experience: 5-8 years of recent experience in building infrastructure maintenance, including at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Skills: Strong computer literacy, project management skills, and excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Advantageous: Knowledge of Higher Education institutions and professional registration with ECSA.

2. Dental Assistant (Post Number 8021258)
Location: Tygerberg Campus – WC
Type of Position: Permanent – Full Time

Key Responsibilities:
As a Dental Assistant at UWC, you will assist staff and students in the Community Dentistry department, ensuring that clinical areas are disinfected and organized. You will manage patient records, sterilize instruments, and ensure infection control protocols are followed. Additionally, you’ll assist with the smooth running of outreach clinics and manage dental-related materials, stock, and equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Education: Higher certificate in Dental Assisting.
- Registration: Current registration with the HPCSA as a Dental Assistant.
- Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience.
- License: Valid code 8 driver’s license with at least 2 years of accident-free driving experience.
