1. Senior Manager: SHEQ, Security & Facilities Management (Re-advertisement)

Are you an experienced leader in Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management? Do you have a strong background in security and facilities management, as well as a passion for creating safe and compliant working environments? If so, the Senior Manager: SHEQ, Security & Facilities Management role at SAWS might be your next career step.

Key Responsibilities:

  • SHEQ Strategy Development & Implementation: You will be responsible for creating and maintaining SHEQ programs aligned with SAWS’ strategic goals. This includes ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Facilities and Security Oversight: Lead the management of SAWS’ buildings, ensuring they meet safety standards, and manage lease agreements and maintenance services across both regional and head office locations.
  • Fleet & Travel Management: Oversee travel services and fleet operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies.
  • Risk, Governance & Compliance: Collaborate with the Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) team to address audit findings and maintain up-to-date SHEQSF compliance certificates.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Honours Degree (e.g., Business Management, Records Management, Health & Safety).
  • At least 7 years of experience in SHEQ/Security and Facilities Management, with 3 years at a senior management level.
  • Expertise in SHEQ systems auditing and knowledge of PFMA and Treasury Regulations.

2. Senior Manager: Human Capital Management (Re-advertisement)

If you have extensive experience in Human Capital Management and a passion for shaping an organisation’s workforce to meet future needs, the Senior Manager: Human Capital Management role at SAWS offers an exciting challenge. This role is perfect for HR leaders who excel at talent acquisition, workforce development, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic HCM Leadership: Lead the development of HR strategies that foster a motivated and capable workforce. You’ll focus on talent management, career progression, and performance evaluations.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with labour laws such as the Labour Relations Act (LRA), Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), and other relevant legislation. Additionally, you’ll oversee statutory submissions and HR risk management.
  • Employee Relations & Dispute Resolution: Maintain a positive work environment by addressing conflicts effectively and collaborating with unions for harmonious relations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Post-graduate Degree in Human Resources Management (NQF Level 8).
  • At least 10 years of HR experience, with 3 years in senior management, plus expertise in dispute resolution and CCMA representation.
  • Proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Office, with a certification in SAGE Software being an added advantage.
