Specialist: Talent Learning and Development

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement an integrated Talent Management Strategy aligned with legislation and business needs.
- Develop frameworks and processes to manage critical and scarce skills.
- Drive succession planning, leadership development, and employee retention strategies.
- Conduct workforce planning and facilitate onboarding and induction programmes.
- Function as the Skills Development Facilitator (SDF).
- Coordinate and implement Workplace Skills Plans (WSP) and Annual Training Reports (ATR).
- Deliver learning interventions such as mentoring, coaching, case studies, and action learning.
- Manage internships and learnerships.
- Evaluate the effectiveness and ROI of L&D programmes.
- Liaise with SETA for compliance and maximise funding opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- A Postgraduate Degree in Human Resources, Education, Organisational Psychology, or a related field.
- OD ETDP qualification (or partially completed) will be an added advantage.
- 5–8 years’ experience in Learning and Development or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years in a management role.
- Proven experience in training needs analysis, strategy development, and implementation.
- Knowledge of the Skills Development Act and other relevant legislation.
