Posts Available

1. Cook (2 Posts)

  • Reference Number: 1/11/2025 HRD
  • Salary: R228 321 per annum (Level 5)
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or National Certificate (Vocational) NQF Level 4.
    • Certificate in Food Preparation/Catering (advantageous).
    • Must be a South African Citizen with no previous criminal/departmental convictions.
    • Fluent in at least two official languages (one must be English).
    • Willing to work extended hours.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Administer general mess matters and purchases.
    • Prepare, cook, and serve food according to healthy menu guidelines.
    • Ensure hygiene and safety standards in the kitchen.

2. Food Services Supervisor (1 Post)

  • Reference Number: 3/11/2025 HRD
  • Salary: R193 359 per annum (Level 4)
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Grade 10 qualification will serve as an advantage.
    • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills.
    • No criminal/departmental convictions.
    • Ability to operate elementary machines and equipment.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Oversee food preparation and serving.
    • Manage dining hall cleanliness and hygiene.
    • Perform general administrative functions within catering services.

3. Food Service Aid (8 Posts)

  • Reference Number: 2/11/2025 HRD
  • Salary: R138 486 per annum (Level 2)
  • Minimum Requirements:
    • Grade 10 qualification (advantageous).
    • Basic reading, writing, numeracy, and communication skills.
    • South African citizenship with no criminal/departmental record.
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and serve refreshments and meals.
    • Maintain kitchen and dining hall cleanliness.
    • Assist with food service support functions.
