Location: SARS Woodmead / Pretoria
Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2025

SARS is seeking an Auditor Level 3 to independently identify compliance and revenue protection opportunities. This role involves conducting verifications and limited-scope audits across multiple tax types while adhering to legislative requirements. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of Personal Income Tax, with experience in identifying tax gaps and contributing to compliance.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting/Tax/Audit (NQF7) OR Senior Certificate (NQF4) with 10 years’ experience.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in Taxation/Tax Audit/Tax Consulting, with 2-3 years at the functional tax audit level.

2. Auditor Level 3 (Crypto/Forex) – Fixed Term Contract – Ref: 9863

Location: Woodmead / Pretoria
Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2025

If you have specialized knowledge in crypto and forex, this role may be ideal. As an Auditor Level 3 in the Crypto/Forex space, your primary responsibility will be identifying tax compliance risks within these emerging sectors. This role requires a deep understanding of cryptocurrency and forex taxation alongside general tax knowledge.

  • Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Auditing (NQF 7), with 5-7 years of experience in Crypto/Forex/Advanced Taxation.

3. Auditor Compliance Audit Level 1 (Short Term Contract) – Ref: 9862

Location: SARS Landbank Office / Woodmead
Contract Duration: Until 31 March 2025

This entry-level compliance audit position is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in tax auditing. You’ll be responsible for planning and executing standard limited-scope audits or verifications, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of tax auditing.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: National Diploma in Finance/Accounting/Taxation/Auditing (NQF 6) or Senior Certificate (NQF 4) with 5 years of experience.
