About the Role:
As a Part-Time Interpreter, you’ll be integral to the success of CCMA hearings by providing verbal interpretation during hearings and offering administrative support to the CCMA Commissioners. Your role will help ensure that all parties involved in the proceedings understand the discussions clearly, enabling effective resolutions and outcomes.
Key Performance Areas:
- Verbal Interpretation: Provide real-time translation during CCMA hearings, ensuring smooth communication between all participants.
- Administrative Support: Assist with various support functions to facilitate the hearing process, ensuring everything runs efficiently and according to schedule.
Key Requirements:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Matric Certificate: A minimum requirement for this role.
- National Diploma in Labour-Related Qualification: Preferably, candidates should have formal education related to labor law or similar fields.
- 1 Year of Experience: Previous interpreting experience, particularly in a legal or labor setting, will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Legislation: Familiarity with the latest legislation and amendments concerning labor law is essential to provide accurate interpretations.
- Languages: Fluency in Tshivenda, Xitsonga, SePedi, or Setswana is required for this role. These languages will be crucial in facilitating effective communication during hearings.
Compensation:
The rate per day for this position is R929.03, and as a part-time independent contractor, you will enjoy a flexible working schedule while contributing to crucial labor dispute resolutions in South Africa.
