Mogalekwena Municipality advertise posts are as follows:

1. CHIEF INTERNAL AUDITOR (Ref. No. 1001MM)

Salary Scale:
R 387 027, 00 per annum

Duties

  • Manage the internal audit function
  • Co-ordinate specific processes to support the formulation of the Audit Plan and Program
  • Monitor compliance and conducting investigations to determine the extent of variation or non-conformance to statutory requirements, policies and procedures
  • Preparing and presenting comments and opinions and providing guidance on the interpretation of principles to enable re-alignment of function
  • Manage staff within the section.
  • Perform any other reasonable task.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Auditing or equivalent
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar position or related field and 2 years in the supervisory position
  • Basic knowledge of MFMA, Municipal Systems Act and Preferential Procurement Act
  • A valid driver’s license and computer literacy
  • Knowledge of Acts that governs the municipalities.

2. DIVISIONAL HEAD: RISK MANAGEMENT

Salary:
R 387 027, 00 per annum

Duties

  • Develop risk management programs for the municipality
  • Develop strategic and operational risk management profiles for the municipality
  • Develop risk management process and fraud risk strategy
  • Liaison with provincial, local government, internal, external auditors and other structures on risk management
  • Coordinate and conduct compliance audit on risk management strategy
  • Coordinate and conduct education and awareness on risk management
  • Assist senior management to establish and communicate the organization’s enterprise risk management (ERM) objective and direction
  • Assist management with integrating risk management with the strategy development process
  • Assist management to develop and communicate risk management policies, risk appetite and
    risk limits ● Conduct regular risk assessment across the organization.
  • Perform any other reasonable task.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Internal Auditing, Risk Management, or equivalent.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting will be an added advantage.
  • 3 – 5 years’ relevant experience of which 2 years must be in supervisory position.
  • Basic knowledge of MFMA, Municipal Systems Act and Preferential Procurement Act.

3. PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS OFFICER

Salary Scale:
R 302 049, 00 – R 333 519, 00 per annum

Duties:

  • Render support to departments
  • Assist in the coordination of the performance management system activities
  • Assist in the coordination processes of Performance management
  • To ensure compliance with legislative requirements
  • Render divisional management support
  • Compile reports regarding performance management.
  • Perform any other reasonable task.

Requirements

  • National Diploma in Public Administration/ HRM or any equivalent qualification
  • Must have 2 -3 years’ experience in performance management.
