Important Application Information

  • No need to submit copies of qualifications upon application.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified qualifications and proof of permanent residency (for non-SA citizens).
  • Foreign qualifications must include a SAQA evaluation certificate.
  • Successful candidates may be subjected to integrity assessments, security clearance, and social media reviews.
  • Senior positions require completion of the Nyukela Programme: Pre-entry Certificate to SMS before appointment.

1. Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Pietermaritzburg

Reference No: CSL07/2025
Salary: R1 216 824 per annum (All-inclusive package)

Requirements:

  • Degree (NQF Level 7) or higher in Financial Management/Accounting.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience at a senior managerial level.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification is an added advantage.

Duties:

  • Oversee financial and supply chain management within the department.
  • Ensure budget control and implementation of accounting systems.
  • Manage financial planning and resource funding.

2. District Coordinator – Stanger

Reference No: CSL08/2025
Salary: R1 003 890 per annum (All-inclusive package)

Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Social/Police Science.
  • Minimum 3 years of junior management experience in crime prevention.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Duties:

  • Monitor police station performance and community partnerships.
  • Develop crime prevention strategies for the district.
  • Ensure resource allocation for crime prevention initiatives.

3. Assistant Director: Crime Prevention and Partnerships – Ulundi

Reference No: CSL09/2025
Salary: R552 081 per annum

Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Social/Police Science.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in crime prevention.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Duties:

  • Establish and maintain Community Policing Forums and partnerships.
  • Implement crime prevention initiatives in the district.
  • Strengthen relationships with Civil Society Organizations.

4. Personal Assistant: Office of the Head – Pietermaritzburg

Reference No: CSL10/2025
Salary: R308 154 per annum

Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Secretarial Studies/Office Management.
  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Duties:

  • Provide secretarial and administrative support to the Provincial Secretary for Police.
  • Manage office operations, travel arrangements, and financial administration.

5. State Accountant: BAS System Controller – Pietermaritzburg

Reference No: CSL11/2025
Salary: R308 154 per annum

Requirements:

  • National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Finance.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in financial systems (BAS).
  • Valid driver’s license.

Duties:

  • Ensure proper financial record-keeping and compliance with Treasury regulations.
  • Manage financial operating systems (PERSAL, BAS, LOGIS, SCOA, etc.).
