Ingquza Hill Local Municipality, located in the Eastern Cape, is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for two key positions within their Planning & Economic Development and Budget & Treasury departments.
Available Positions:
1. Manager: Development Planning & Building Control
Department: Planning and Economic Development
Location: Flagstaff or Lusikisiki
Salary: Task Grade 17 – R748 473 per annum (excluding benefits)
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- Degree in Town & Regional Planning or equivalent
- Registered with a recognised planning or engineering body
- Computer literacy
- Code B/EB driver’s license
- 5 years’ supervisory experience in municipal town planning
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead Development Planning, Environmental Management, and Building Control
- Define long-term strategic goals for the department
- Evaluate land use applications and manage valuations
- Ensure budget compliance and performance tracking
- Implement council development and environmental policies
2. Manager: Asset and Fleet Management
Department: Budget and Treasury
Salary: Task Grade 16 – R619 171 per annum (excluding benefits)
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric (Grade 12)
- BCom Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Code B/EB driver’s license
- 5 years’ experience in municipal financial management
- Knowledge of GRAP and asset compliance procedures
- CPMD will be an added advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and safeguard municipal assets
- Keep asset register up-to-date and GRAP compliant
- Submit financial asset reports to CFO
- Ensure efficient asset lifecycle management
- Oversee fleet acquisition, maintenance, and compliance
