Position Highlights

Assistant Director: Provisioning and Administration for Institutions (Ref: REFS/022097)

  • Location: Johannesburg South District
  • Salary: R444,036 per annum
  • Sub-directorate: Finance and Administration

Requirements:

  • A three-year National Diploma/Degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Public Finance, or related fields.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience in financial management at a supervisory level.
  • Knowledge of Treasury Regulations, PFMA, BELA, and SASA.
  • Skills in financial reporting, problem-solving, and team communication.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee financial management in schools (POS, LSEN, ECD, and Subsidized Independent Schools).
  • Ensure compliance with financial guidelines and prescripts.
  • Train institutions on financial management.
  • Monitor funds, subsidies, and school assets.
  • Provide intervention plans for non-compliance with municipal obligations.

Control Works Inspector: Mechanical (Ref: REFS/022099)

  • Location: Head Office, Johannesburg
  • Salary: R552,081 per annum
  • Directorate: Maintenance Project/Programmes

Requirements:

  • National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum six years’ post-qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of Public Service legislative prescripts.
  • Valid driver’s license and computer literacy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct condition assessments and manage infrastructure maintenance.
  • Facilitate minor renovations and compliance with legislative procedures.
  • Supervise contractors and ensure effective contract administration.
  • Develop and submit reports under EPWP requirements.
