Available Positions

1. Lecturer-PND1 (4 Posts)

  • Centre: Lilitha Nursing College, Lusikisiki Campus
  • Salary:
    • Grade 1: R451,533 – R530,376 per annum
    • Grade 2: R553,545 – R726,717 per annum (OSD) + 37% lieu service benefits
  • Contract: 12 months

Requirements:

  • R425 qualification (i.e., diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent, enabling registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
  • A Post Basic qualification in Nursing Education, registered with the SANC.
  • A minimum of four years’ experience after registration with the SANC in General Nursing.
  • Strong teaching ability and experience working in a multi-disciplinary team.

Key Duties:

  • Develop, plan, and implement academic programs.
  • Review and evaluate the curriculum.
  • Supervise students’ research projects and clinical placements.
  • Conduct nursing research and participate in policy-making.
  • Ensure students’ success through mentorship, training, and support.
  • Maintain effective communication and build positive relationships with students and staff.

2. Lecturer-PND1 (2 Posts)

  • Centre: Lilitha Nursing College, Queenstown Campus
  • Salary:
    • Grade 1: R451,533 – R530,376 per annum
    • Grade 2: R553,545 – R726,717 per annum (OSD) + 37% lieu service benefits
  • Contract: 12 months

Requirements:

  • R425 qualification in Nursing with SANC registration.
  • Post Basic qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC.
  • At least four years of experience post-registration in General Nursing.
  • Demonstrated ability to teach and work within a team.

Key Duties:

  • Similar to the Lusikisiki campus role, with an emphasis on delivering quality nursing education and managing students’ academic and clinical progress.
  • Participate in the development of college policies and offer input during workshops and meetings.
  • Supervise and support students during clinical placements and research projects.
