Post Title: National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Research Chair
Contract Term: 5-Year Fixed Term

Minimum Requirements:
- PhD in a relevant field, preferably focused on qualifications frameworks or education
- NRF rating or equivalent
- 8–10 years of academic and research experience with a strong publication record
- Proven postgraduate supervision, research funding acquisition, and policy engagement
- DHET-accredited research outputs in the past 3 years aligned with DUT’s research strategy
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a research agenda aligned with DUT ENVISION2030 and SAQA mandates
- Secure and manage external research funding
- Supervise Master’s and PhD students
- Mentor early-career researchers
- Publish in high-impact journals
- Collaborate with policymakers, industry, and other stakeholders (quad helix engagement)
- Uphold research governance and ethics at the institutional level
