Key Responsibilities

As a RUS Operator, your primary responsibility will be the maintenance of ATS Resource Utilization, ensuring that rosters are correctly populated and compliant with regulations. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Roster Management: Creating, updating, and publishing rosters for all ATS pools on the ATS Rostering Platform, ensuring compliance with licensing, training, shift patterns, and medical requirements.
  • Tactical Roster Changes: Handling the 24-hour RUS call desk, responding to requests for shift swaps, and ensuring staff are appropriately rostered. You will also communicate shift shortages and liaise with line management to resolve issues.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders while ensuring effective communication regarding rostering updates and issues.
  • Quality Management: Ensuring all processes align with ATNS Quality Management standards and procedures. You’ll monitor Continuous Improvement Reports (CIRs) and follow up on pending actions.
  • Office Administration: Managing office supplies, taking meeting minutes, and assisting with mail and courier packages, among other administrative tasks.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) certificate
  • Call Center qualification (preferably)
  • At least 2 years’ administrative experience within the Air Traffic Services (ATS) environment
  • Strong understanding of rostering principles and ATS regulatory guidelines
